ISBI: Aging Gracefully

We're getting to the time where the game is starting to become frustrating. The kids rarely do their homework so they sit and watch TV all night. At least they don't ignore each other...

It's amazing to me that Eva has already reached the end of her young adult days. Looking forward, she baked herself a cake and celebrated! Edward turned out to be a great singer at their little celebration.

A few days later, Bray received notice that he'd be an elder soon. He worried that Eva wouldn't care for him anymore but she reassured him that her feelings wouldn't change.

She made his favorite cake (chocolate, like the rest of the family) and he stepped up to the plate...

Eva shows off her singing skills, just like Edward.

At this point, we're caught up to where I left off back in November. I was surprised to see Eva looking upset. However, I think they had just come home from work. She's never happy after work (who is?).

With all the birthdays in the house, there's been cake coming out the wazoo.

Bray isn't going to complain.

As for the boys, it's chips and race cars for breakfast. Very nutritious. I'm starting to wonder if Ben's upcoming birthday will change their brotherly dynamic...

ISBI: Fast Friends

Waaaait for it...

TADA! Edward had his birthday! He inherited his dad's hair color (and also his fashion sense - rain boots and a sweater vest?!). He rolled the trait.

Now we're going to need another bed. The family still doesn't make that much money so this is going to be a stretch for them, I can tell.

Ben seemed pleased that his little brother was now old enough to play with him. Once Eva left them alone for a while, they quickly caught up and became friends.

It looks like the family was able to scrape enough money together to afford a second bed. Whew. I thought Eva would be stuck on couch duty for a few days.

It's been really nice to see the boys interact with each other. They're so naturally friendly that I've forgotten that I wasn't controlling them when I took these shots.

See, good friends already!

ISBI: Ben's New Nemesis

Oh... what's this? I haven't played this save since November?

Oh stop! Don't look at me that way, Eva! I've never stopped thinking about you guys! Your story sat on my blog so patiently, just waiting for me to decide to tell the rest of your story.

Oh, you're mad because you've been pregnant for three months, is that it?

Ha! You can't fool me! These screenshots were on my hard drive already, so there!

...Well, fine. I'll try and remember why you look cross in all my photos. Although, that shouldn't be hard; you live in a house full of men who rarely clean up after themselves. Sucks.

Anyway, you don't look too unhappy here. That's good news.

You two are too darned cute!

Bray, you're such a good dad. Even when you're exhausted from work you still find time to bond with Ben.

...even when you're sleeping.

It looks like Ben has decided to take control of some of the messes of the house. Your mom appreciates it, you know. Especially since she's gone off to the hospital to have her baby on her own (thanks, Bray).

What's a kid to do? Read a book, of course!

And then another book. Wait, or play with his toys... What do you mean he can't do both?!

He chose the toy...but poked himself in the eye. Cool.

Ben went to sleep after that and had a fairly restful night's sleep (you'll see he has a bed now!).

When he woke up, however, he was a just a bit perturbed...

Someone was in his ROOM. Eva had brought home his new sibling. Ben tried to take his frustration out on his ball of clay (seriously, he smashed that thing up!) and hoped that Eva would notice.

She did, bless her. She took to doting on her first born baby and he responded in the way most young boys might: resisting.

"Mommmmmmmm..."
She took the time to reassure him that he was still very important to her and to Bray. She also told him he'd probably learn to love his new brother, Edward.

Brother...

Hm...

...Maybe having a little brother wouldn't be too bad. In the mean time he would pretty much still be on his own. He still had time to watch his favorite show, Bee Kid, and time to play with his superheros.

Now that the couple has their second child, they are no longer obligated to have any more. But do they want them? Maybe. We'll have to see what they decide.

For now, Ben and little Edward are plenty. They're good kids! They never cause any trouble...

ISBI: Baby #2 Incoming!

Back in the world of Miss Eva, life is going well. The family seems to like having a bit more space in the house. It was needed, too, because it looks like Eva is expecting again! (If you want the link for the panda shirt let me know and I'll post it - I got it from ModtheSims!)

Bray actually decided to read a book for once. Shocking. I mean, I guess he can take the time to read while also on the toilet. Multitasking is grand.

Ben went to his first day of school without a fuss. It doesn't look like he had a very good time.

Being tense, he decided to play some Sims on the computer. That's what I do after work, too, Ben.

Later, Eva broke the good news of her pregnancy to Bray (while eating, of course). He was pleased that they'd be having another baby soon. It hasn't been challenging to have two non-controlled sims in the house so I'll see how bad it is with a third one.

Eva was tired at this point so I sent her to bed. That gave me some time to spy on the boys.

Bray went to bother Ben. Sims do enjoy random hugs or kisses. I really like that (except when they stay to wait until you're done gardening. Nothing stops them from gardening).

Also, there's no bed in Ben's room because they can't afford it quite yet. That's the next purchase on their list. Eva will give up her bed if he's tired. She's such a good mom.

Ben really enjoys his clay. I really like to leave one around the house for them to play with and leave different pieces of art.

See what he made? A little...star...thing. Okaaaay.

You know, I'm really proud of Bray to branch off from just playing on the computer all day. Some tv time is appreciated (really, am I saying this?)

Oh wait, never mind... And TROLLING, even. sigh

Although exhausted, Eva told Ben of the upcoming baby. He was excited about it. I mean, I'm surprised he didn't figure it out from her belly.

Ah, well. Still cute.

Ah, yes! Something that happily surprised me. I was just randomly checking on things in the house and saw Ben and Bray talking. Ben looked really displeased and I didn't get to see what he was being spoken to about. Then I noticed that he immediately went to the trash bin and took out the trash. I think Bray was telling him to do some chores!

Shocker!

I guess it's not something I should expect too much, though, because Ben didn't seem bothered by all of the dishes around the house. You're not even a slob, Ben. Get it together!

Eva is too tired to deal with this shit, boys.

I mean, you make all these messes and then you expect the pregnant lady to clean it all up.

Even the toilet. Gross, you guys.
